LONGLINE PRODUCTIONS is the creative playground of husband + wife duo, Millen Baird + Siobhan Marshall.
We make film and TV that’s funny, heartfelt and a little off the beaten track.
We love big characters and bold ideas — stories that feel at home here,
but can travel anywhere.

Millen Baird 'Millsy'

Mills has been making his own comedy for nearly twenty years, starting with The Millen Baird Show for TV3 in 2007, which went on to score a Best Comedy nomination at the NZ Film & TV Awards. He followed that by co-creating and starring in TVNZ’s Auckland Daze, a semi-autobiographical comedy that picked up Best Comedy Script at the NZ Writers Guild Awards in both 2012 and 2014.

Then came Darryl. An Outward Bound Story, which won Mills Best Comedy Script at both the 2017 NZ Writers Guild Awards and NZTV Awards, as well as Outstanding Comedy Series at the Catalyst Content Festival in the US. He later co-wrote and co-directed The Lonely Hearts Motel pilot for TV3 and returned to Darryl with Darryl. A Beach to Snow Story for TVNZ.

In 2021, Millsy co-produced Siobhan’s debut short, Manny and Quinn, which went on to screen at festivals including LA Shorts, Show Me Shorts, Newport Beach and Austin, and was a finalist at the NZ International Film Festival. For reasons that still aren’t entirely clear, Mills also came fifth on Celebrity Treasure Island in 2024.

Millsy and Vorny are currently developing the comedy-horror-romance The Hermit’s Tale. Later this year, they’ll co-direct, co-produce and co-star in their psychological horror feature, Killer Weekend.

Vorny spent six seasons causing trouble as Pascalle West in the hit NZ comedy-drama Outrageous Fortune, picking up four NZ Film & TV Award acting nominations along the way. After Outrageous, she continued acting and also started writing screenplays. In 2015, she won Best Unproduced Feature at the NZ Writers Guild Awards.

An epic IVF journey then inspired her to create the animated series Slow Pete — about a slow sperm trying to reach the egg. Vorny wrote, voiced, produced and animated the series for TVNZ OnDemand. She also co-wrote The Lonely Hearts Motel for TV3 and Darryl. A Beach to Snow Story for TVNZ.

In 2021, Vorny stepped behind the camera to write and direct her first short film, Manny and Quinn. It screened at LA Shorts, Show Me Shorts, Newport Beach and Austin, and was a finalist at the NZ International Film Festival. She then did one better than Millsy and came fourth on Celebrity Treasure Island in 2022.

Vorny is now developing her merman comedy-horror-romance The Hermit’s Tale and will co-direct, co-produce and co-star in the psychological horror feature, Killer Weekend.
